Brief description and history of the institution

In 2003 the "the Lacanian oriented Psychoanalytic Association, Civil Association", it is legally able to provide therapeutic services in a more systematic and visible way. The APOL is inserted into the whole Asociation of the Champ du Freudian Foundation, based in Paris, founded by Jacques Lacan in 1979, bringing together dozens of international partnerships, which are based on the Lacanian orientation.

The APOL born relying in Freudian psychoanalysis, understood according the teaching of Jacques Lacan and the guidance that has given Jacques-Alain Miller, that can help alleviate the psychological discomfort that occurs in every form of civilization, allowing a work that transforms the symptom of a stumbling posture to a tool that guides in life.

It Shares the international project PIPOL (International Programe Guidance applied Lacanian psychoanalysis/ “Programa Internacional de Psicoanálisis aplicado de Orientación Lacaniana”) that promotes clinical centers of applied psychoanalysis around the world: a program that looks at the emergence and maintenance of all the potential intervention of psychoanalysis in response to new rules with which they are presented in the contemporary dissatisfaction.

The decision to create a civil association, was founded with the intention to reach a larger number of people who find it difficult to privately access or request a service to their mental disorders. This is how the "Centro La Aurora" was created for the treatment of serious mental disorders of childhood such as autism and psychosis, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, among others, through the method of practice among several, created by Dr . Antonio Di Ciaccia, applied successfully since several decades in institutions of several countries: Belgium, France, Italy, Spain, Israel, Argentina, Brazil.

By its very nature and in response to demands for therapeutic care which came to him conformed by people, who suffered for being affected by some of the current symptoms - panic attacks, depression, anorexia-bulimia, addiction, psychosis, neurosis and list is open - the APOL opened a second clinical area: the Consultation and Treatment Center for Psychotherapy and applied Psychoanalysis (CENTRA), in which people who ask for help, receive are heard and addressed through the power of the word, with no age limit, they are being affected by some symptoms that generates distress and invalidation, to help them find a solution to their impasse.

The positive effects of targeted treatments oriented by psychoanalysis may well be noted. Symptoms, disabling disease manifestations as well as persistent discomfort resist medical treatment and may have a solution through open dialogue with a format practitioner to analytical method.

Still, despite its effectiveness, psychoanalysis is not easily accessible by all. Ideological, social and economic reasons are some of the causes that makes this encounter to be difficult, and sometimes impossible to have the creation of the Centre "La Aurora" and the Centre helped to expand this possibility, many people were still unreachable. Single mothers, street kids, addicts, autistic, and the others were assisted by other institutions and opened the third area APOL Clinical Training and Institutional and Professional Guidance Applied Psychoanalysis and the practice among several, to expand the number degree of professional-oriented interventions in psychoanalysis and based on power of the word. Several institutions, governmental and private, have been served to date: with the Directorate of Special Education SEP (Secretaria de educacion publica) has worked in some special schools - CAM (Multi Care Center) and USAER (Support Unit Regular School) of Federal District, "Autism Clinic" The hidden child "of the Universidad Intercontinental, EDNICA IAP, Community Prevention Centers Reintegra IAP, Help and solidarity with the street girls IAP, IAP Alliance House, City Centre Fai (Save the Children Mexico).

All clinical activity is coupled with an incessant necessarily control work, study, research and dissemination of theoretical and practical effect. Work that makes confrontational at times of conferences, study days and forums with other professionals working for others engaged in the same task, to receive feedback about their own situation of clinical work and theoretical. So APOL is active in a fourth area, this time theory: Research and Dissemination, always under control to have the ethics of their clinical interventions, and putting their therapeutic results and theoretical principles to the attention of the society concerned.
